This is a casting call for new and professional actors to appear in a documentary on National Television.
24 Hours (Working Title) is a documentary-drama centring on the Japanese Government's decision to surrender in WWII. It focuses on the last 24 hours, from the Emperor issuing the order to surrender to the military coup that rose to try and stop it. This is a Like A Shot West production for a terrestrial broadcaster.
The production is releasing an open casting call for Japanese/East Asian actors to appear in the programme's dramatised reconstruction. As this would be a non-speaking drama recon, acting experience would be preferred but is not essential. There will be no script. Instead, the cast will work around improvised scenes guided by direction.
